Technical Data of PTFE (Teflon) cable
We manufacture PTFE Insulated Cable as per customer's specification and also design the cable as per customer’s requirement. PTFE cables are particularly suitable for internal wiring-soldering applications where insulation melt back is a specific problem. PTFE wires have greater perfection.
PTFE insulated wires are resistance to Oil, Oxidation, Heat, Sunlight, Flame and also remain flexible at low temperature. These cables have admirable thermal stability and are resistance to Ozone, Water, Alcohol, Gasoline, Acids, Alkalis, Aromatic Hydrocarbons, and Solvents.
Teflon Cables finds its application in Communication & Control Instrumentation, Military Electronics, Satellites, Computers, Refrigeration Equipments, Lifts, Atomic Power Stations, and Medical Purpose for carrying Corrosive Chemicals etc.
Operating Temperatures:
- PTFE Insulated Silver Plated Copper Wires - 650 to 2650
- PTFE Insulated Nickel Plated Copper Wires - 650C to 2000C
Characteristics:
- Low Dielectric Constant
- High Operating Temperatures
- Excellent Thermal Stability
- Suitable For Wide Frequency Range: DC to Above 10000 MHZ
- Inert to Chemical Attack
- Flame Proof
- High Mechanical Strength
- Suitable to High Density Wiring
Construction:-
These cables consist of :-
-
A solid or stranded conductor of either
- Silver plated copper (SPC) or
- Silver plated copper clad steel (SCCS) or
- Anealed bare Copper.
-
A dielectric layer or wrapped and sintered PTFE tape.
-
one or two braids of silver plated copper wire [In case of Shielded cables]
-
An overaii jacket of:
- Wrapped and sintered PTFE tape.
- One or two wraps of PTFE tape, one or more glass fiber braids and coated with a special high temperature varnish.
Technical Specification:
The PTFE equipment wires are as per US military MIL- W – 16878D and Indian defence specifications JSS 51034.92. As per these standards, equipments wires are classified in three main working voltage grades. i.e.
250 v ac rms (ET) grade
600 V acrms (E) grade
1000 V acrms (EE) grade
The Main Technical Features are as follows:
Fine wire strands. Made from silver plated electrolytic grade copper wire, stranded to from perfectly round conductor. Teflon (PTFE) concentricity of inner conductor, available in bright eleven solid colors & combination of colors as bi colors.
Insulation radial thickness.
ET- 250 V ACrms Grade 0.15 mm Nominal
E - 600 V ACrms Grade 0.25 mm Nominal
EE - 1000V ACrms Grade 0.40 mm Nominal.
